SDIC Mining Investment Co., Ltd. signed a framework agreement on strategic cooperation with the Bureau of Geology and Natural Resources of the Xinjiang Ugyur Autonomous Region on June 21st, 2021.

The agreement was signed in Beijing by Zhang Douqun, Deputy General Manager of SDIC Mining Investment Co., Ltd., and Feng Jing, a deputy department chief of the Xinjiang Bureau of Geology and Natural Resources. Present at the signing ceremony were Deng Hua, Chairman of SDIC Mining Investment Co Ltd, Sun Bin, Deputy Chief of the Xinjiang Bureau of Geology and Natural Resources, Zhou Weiliang, General Manager of SDIC Mining Investment Co., Ltd. and representatives from both sides.

Chairman Deng said that SDIC Mining vows to carry out “Cooperation between Central SOEs and Local Governments” in accordance with the general development plan of SDIC and under the guidance of the country’s 14th Five-Year Plan. As one of the major geology and natural resource exploration forces in Xinjiang, the Xinjiang Bureau of Geology and Natural Resources has developed a close cooperation relationship with SDIC Mining for a long time, provided strong support to the development and growth of SDIC Xinjiang Luobupo Potash Co Ltd, and offered active assistance in the stable supply of raw materials to SDIC Jincheng Metallurgy. He expressed the hope that the two sides deepen cooperation, take more active measures to make new contributions to the development strategy of the country and the region.

Deputy Bureau Chief Sun said that it is the responsibility of mining enterprises to make good use of and develop the mining resources so as to make fresh contributions to social development and economic growth in Xinjiang. He expressed his hope that the long-term cooperation between the two sides will bear more fruitful results.
