SDIC Chairman Bai Tao held a virtual meeting with Shen Danyang, Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Hainan Provincial Committee and Executive Vice Governor of Hainan Province. Yang Xiaohui, SDIC Deputy General Manager , attended the meeting.

Chairman Bai thanked CPC Hainan Provincial Committee and Hainan Provincial Government for their long term support to SDIC's enterprises in the island province and briefed Hainan officials about the investment and cooperation of SDIC in Hainan Province. He said that since SDIC and Hainan signed the agreement on deepening strategic cooperation in June, the two sides continue to strengthen cooperation in the sectors of port construction, seed economy, new energy, biological and environmental protection, and human resources, and relevant projects are under progress in an orderly way. In the 14th Five-Year Plan period, SDIC will grasp firmly the historic opportunity of free trade port construction to further enhance its investment in Hainan and make new contributions to promoting the construction of Hainan free trade port and the establishment of a new system of a higher-level, open economy.

Executive Vice Governor Shen expressed his gratitude to SDIC for its constant support and contribution to the economic and social development of Hainan Province. He pointed out that one of the central SOEs that invest in Hainan at the earliest stage, SDIC has made broad investment and launched a number of key projects in Hainan, which has produced outstanding results of cooperation. In the 14th Five-Year Plan period, it is hoped that SDIC will continue to enlarge its investment in the province and support the construction of the free trade port. Hainan will continue to further improve its investment environment, further increase its work efficiency, enhance its support and provide better services to SDIC's investment and development in the province.

During the virtual meeting, relevant business units of SDIC Group and related departments of Hainan Province conducted in-depth discussions on promoting the development of cooperation projects.

Present at the meeting were Guo Zhongjie, Assistant to SDIC General Manager, SDIC Board Secretary Li Baolin, Assistant to General Manager Wang Weidong, Assistant to General Manager Meng Shuhao, Zhang Zhaogang, Chairman of China National Complete Plant Import & Export Group Corporation Ltd., Wu Shiyong, Chairman of China SDIC International Trade Co., Ltd., Zhang Wenping, General Manager of SDIC Power Holding Co., Ltd., Zhou Changsong, General Manager of SDIC Communications Holding Co., Ltd. and leading officials from relevant departments of Hainan Province.
