SDIC Power Holding Co, Ltd. signed a framework agreement with Baodi District Government of Tianjin Municipality on building a “carbon neutrality’ clean energy demonstration base on June 17, 2021. 

The agreement was signed in Beijing at the witness of Zhu Jiwei, Chairman of SDIC Power Holding Co Ltd, He Jun, Deputy Director of SDIC Strategic Development Department, and Mao Jinsong, head of Baodi District Government, Tianjin.

Located in northern part of Tianjin Municipality, Baodi District is rich in natural resources and enjoys convenient transportation. In recent years, the district has been making constant efforts to accelerate its pace of green development and aim to build itself into a national-level ecological demonstration zone.

Signing of the agreement will lay a solid basis for SDIC Power to further expand its new energy development, participate in construction of regional wind and solar power demonstration base, and launch cooperation in the comprehensive smart energy sector in Tianjin.

According to the agreement, SDIC Power will cooperate with Baodi District on investment and operation of clean energy infrastructure construction, comprehensive smart energy, and other new emerging energy sectors in line with the national and regional policies and with consideration of the actual investment environment. According to plan, SDIC Power will invest in a wind and solar power project with a total installed capacity of 1 million kilowatts, affiliated energy storage facilities, hydrogen production, and comprehensive energy services. This will help Baodi District to improve its regional comprehensive utilization level of energy resources, speed up its efforts to build itself into an “emission peak and carbon neutrality” demonstration district, and promote green and sustainable development in this region.

This agreement is of importance for SDIC Power in the sectors of enabling it to invest in new energy projects in the region, promoting its projects in Tianjin to benefit from shared resources, and fostering development synergy.
